Regular Inspection and Maintenance of Semi-trailer
1. Vehicle maintenance specification
2. Weekly or routine inspection before each transportation (operated by the user)
The following safety inspections must be carried out every week or before each transportation:
A Check the tyre pressure and adjust it to the level recommended by the tyre manufacturer;
B Check the tightness of tire screws;
C Check the brake system for air leakage and test whether it can brake;
D Check the tightness of all nuts, screws and bolts for suspension;
E Check the braking connection of tractor and semi-trailer;
F Drain the air reservoir and air chamber equipped with air suspension;
G Check all lamps;
H Check and ensure that the outriggers work normally;
I Check the wear of moving parts;
3. Monthly check (user operated)
A Check the tightness of all suspension components (according to the torque data provided)
B Check whether there is any broken leaf spring;
C Check whether the connectors and hoses of all braking systems are damaged and whether the hose clamps are missing;
D Check the proper operation of relay valves and other valves;
E Check the wear of tension rod bushing;
F Check the brake drum for cracks or abnormal wear;
G Check whether the lubricating oil of the axle leaks;
H Check all fasteners, especially those used for outriggers, tires, axles, etc. (in any case, nuts, screws and other fasteners should be tightened to the recommended torque parameters);
I Check the wear of traction pin;
J Check whether the brake is normal;
k. Lubricate the outrigger and traction plate/traction pin;
L Lightly lubricate the brake camshaft and slack adjuster;
M Check whether the joint of side wall panel, door panel and top plate is open;
N Replace worn parts with parts produced or approved by us.
4. Annual maintenance
After the vehicle is used for 6 months, a comprehensive inspection shall be carried out every 12 months to ensure the service performance of the vehicle (including the maintenance in the sixth month). The inspection scope is the same as the above monthly inspection, and the following items are added:
A Remove the brake drum and thoroughly check the brake shoe for additional or improper wear;
B Check whether the brake shoe return spring, brake bushing, camshaft sleeve, brake shoe roller, etc. are damaged;
C Check the bearing and axle connecting parts;
D Thoroughly check the vehicle structure and report any problems immediately;
E Replace all worn or damaged parts with our recommended replacement parts.
